Video Course with Girts Apskalns
Join Girts Apskalns behind the scenes of how he creates professional-looking video content for Social Media. Location and date are still to be defined.
In this course, Girts will show his process behind filming and editing content for Social Media. Also, we’ll enjoy a great coffee and have a chance to connect with other people while at it!
Some of the things that we’ll go through:
- How to set up a camera for cinematic video? (basic settings, ND filter, etc.)
- What other equipment do we need and do we need it? (tripod, monopod, gimbal, etc.)
- What to consider before making a video? (story, composition, lenses, etc.)
- Do we need extra audio and light?
- How to edit your content quickly and painlessly?
If time allows, we’ll make a short Instagram clip together from start to finish (film it, edit it with nice colour and sound, and export for Instagram / TikTok).
Hopefully, I’ll encourage you to make more content yourselves.
Places are limited to 8 people, as the space is small.

Girts is a Zürich based Videographer with a background in marketing. Originally from Latvia. Currently working freelance as a videographer with clients like Swisscom, ZHAW, ETH, and others.
